			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>In <strong>getting back to basics</strong>, I decided to take pictures of <strong>all my food</strong> today. Lately I&#8217;ve only been blogging about <strong>major meals </strong>because my snacks are <strong>pretty similar</strong> from day to day. But since I&#8217;ve been doing so much running I&#8217;m trying to figure out the best way to <strong>properly fuel myself</strong>. I thought this would be the perfect place to begin evaluating.</p>
<p>Around 11 a.m., I took a broke from my busy day and had a<strong> large gala apple.</strong></p>

<p>I was starving by 12:15 p.m. I was trying to make myself wait a little longer for lunch, so I&#8217;d stay fuller &#8211; but I thought it best to follow my stomach and eat when I was hungry. Lunch was leftovers from the <strong><a href="http://onalobsterplacemat.com/2009/03/17/roses-ultimate-vegetable-casserole/">Vegetable Casserole</a></strong> and some <strong>Kashi crackers</strong> for a little crunch factor.</p>

<p>I also had a little treat for lunch. One of the <a href="http://www.ghirardelli.com/"><strong>Ghirardelli Squares</strong></a> I received from <a href="http://luckytastebuds.wordpress.com/"><strong>Michelle</strong></a><strong>.</strong> Thanks, again!</p>

<p>I was hungry (<em>again</em>) by 4 p.m. I picked up a few of <a href="http://www.stonyfield.com/OurProducts/GreekYogurt.cfm"><strong>Stonyfield Farms&#8217; Oikos Organic Greek Yogurt</strong></a> with the coupons they sent. Today was my first try.</p>

<p>The consistency was very similar to <strong>Chobani,</strong> but I <strong>wouldn&#8217;t say</strong> this yogurt beat my favorite. It was good but wasn&#8217;t my favorite. Since Chobani and Oikos are the <strong>same price</strong>, I don&#8217;t think I would buy the Oikos over Chobani. It was still just as rich and filling though <em>(Expect a more detailed review on the blog later&#8230;).</em></p>

<p>I had to take care of <strong>my car issues</strong> after work today so I left a tad early. Between <strong>dealing with traffic</strong> and shelling out <strong>$$$</strong> (<em>that I was saving for a new computer!),</em> I came home with a <strong>headache</strong>. Bill was sipping on a <strong>Pale Ale IPA</strong>, so I asked for a sip. Here&#8217;s what I got:</p>

<p>It was really good. I would never consider myself a <strong>beer drinker</strong>, but I am starting to like it more. I think I might just order a beer once in a while <strong>instead of wine</strong> when we go out.</p>
<p>Even though I wasn&#8217;t in the mood for hot food, Bill had put some <strong>chicken</strong> and <strong>cream of mushroom soup</strong> in the Crockpot to simmer throughout the day. We also made some <strong>pasta and veggies</strong> for sides.</p>
<p>Talk about a <strong>big plate!</strong></p>

<p>I asked Bill to give me &#8220;<strong>a little bit of pasta</strong>&#8221; &#8211; and this is what he gave me. It was actually less than it looks like, as it spread all over the plate due to our <strong>watery sauce</strong>. Not the best meal in the world. But certainly not the worst.</p>
<p><strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Protein</span></strong></p>
<p>I have been researching <strong>protein</strong> tonight and have figured out that I&#8217;m not sure I get enough each day. I think if I ate items with a little more protein, I might <strong>stay fuller longer</strong> &#8211; and not feel <strong>so ravenous</strong> throughout the day. This, in turn, would help with my running. Since I live a <strong>pretty vegetarian lifestyle</strong> (<em>no red meat at least</em>), I&#8217;m trying to come up with more ways to add protein into my diet.</p>
<p><strong>What are ways that you incorporate protein into your diet?</strong> I&#8217;m looking for suggestions!</p>
