About

IMG_6181 A western PA native, I’m currently living in Pittsburgh with a few lobster placements. Little did I know that a gift from a family friend would turn into a food + art blog. They remind me to laugh a little at every meal and take joy in the company of others around the table.

This blog is a place for me to practice not only healthy living – but an art-inspired existence. I love playing with food – creating new dishes and using meals to tell both old and new stories. I also enjoy art projects in almost any shape or form.

I’m a 20-something “young professional,” working in public relations at a university. I recently received my MFA in Creative Writing & Publishing Arts, where I published a fictional novella and honed my skills as a bookmaker.

Questions? Feel free to drop me a line at my email listed on my homepage!

If you’re interested in my professional work, check out my online portfolio.

Also, please note that I am a food enthusiast and not a registered anything. I’ve written about food journalistically for a newspaper, but that’s as far as my technical experience reaches! I hope to someday receive a wellness certification but for now that’s just in the works.

Rose, I found your blog through your facebook posting.

I have to say I am sooo proud of you for keeping true to your passion for art and inspirational/intellectual creativity! KUDOS!

Your blog has honestly re-inspired me to attempt more “art projects”–one of these days my husband, Sean, and I hope to open an artistic restaurant (one that fuses theater and other art forms with a fine dining experience). Maybe I will get the chance to speak more with you as we work towards our dream. Until then, keep up your blogging, good luck with school, and again–thank you for proving that we can keep our passions and art alive even in the “real world”!!

    Hugz.

    ~Sarah ^^
