Snowstorm x 2

9 Feb

We’ve dug out the cars, we’ve broken up the ice and the street is finally [somewhat] usable again.

Some cars on the street may not be in their best condition, but they’re surviving – leading the pack to the final destination.

There are still some cars buried under the snow and ice, waiting to emerge – though no one has taken a shovel to them. Sometimes I wonder if those cars will just fall into a hole in the ground, never to be seen again.

So why am I at home instead of work? Why another snow day? Because they say another 20 inches is on its way today and tomorrow. All that work breaking up the ice will soon turn into this:

\

Two snowstorms in one week. Feels like a record. What do you think about it (whether you’re in one or not!)?

I think it can kiss my butt. But I also secretly like being snowed in with a full on reason for not leaving the house. Snuggle time! :D

Rose I love it! I am stuck in the same stuff in Baltimore. Be careful out there. At least Scone seems to like the snow.

Just saw one of my neighbors digging out his car and many more are still buried. It almost seems pointless — another 10-20 inches tonight means even more shoveling tomorrow. *sigh*

I’m not in a snowstorm (I’m in sunny Southern California!) so I can’t even fathom what it’s like.

Can I tell you how much this oatmeal post warms my heart? I love them!

I feel so bad for all your guys in the East right now. Just looking at yall’s pictures and hearing your stories makes me cold! It is also making me have a reality check before complaining that I am cold. (I am in Texas and it is in the 40′s…which is cold for us…but nothing compared to what you are going through!!)

I’m done. One snowstorm was enough and it sucked shoveling out from that one. Yesterday I was telling people I’ve had enough and ready to move back to Florida.
I loved the snow when I was little, but that was when I got out of school and didn’t have to worry about shoveling or driving in it.
