Anticipated Breakfast

17 Nov

Now talk about a food that brings me back – banana chips.

Dehydrating food seemed pretty hip in the 90s, so snacks for me as a kiddo quickly became banana, apple and pear chips. I didn’t complain – in fact I looked forward to them. There was something so cool about eating a fruit in another form.

And so, when I saw some in the special aisle of the co-op last night, I had to throw some in a bag. I had this beautiful combination in my head:

Would it shock you to know that I’ve had this breakfast in my head since I went to bed last night? All new ingredients, a whole new waffle.

I’m like a big kid in the morning. Give me some peanut butter and jelly, and I’ll be alright.

Oh, and get ready because tonight is the big night. Your votes have been tallied. Say goodbye to this hairstyle:

Someone new is coming home tonight!

Do you look forward to meals far in advance?

I love dried fruit and fruit chips! I can’t control myself around them though so I get tiny bags from the bulk section :) . I am always looking forward/planning out dinner in my head. Can’t wait to see the new hair

OH banana chips are on my list of “dont buy too often because i eat them all” foods. It’s rare for me to be able to find the simply dehydrated ones instead of the fried ones here…

Can’t wait to see your new ‘do!

I meal plan every Saturday, so I definitely look forward to meals in advance. I’ve got a creamy pumpkin ziti on the menu for Friday and can’t wait to make it! Really all the meals I plan I look forward to; otherwise why make em? ;)

Ooh, banana chips. My mom always gave them to me when I was little for snacks.

There’s a recipe on 101cookbooks.com for banana chocolate chip cookies. I believe it’s banana chips, chocolate chips and maybe even walnuts? Anyhow, they’re to die for. Seriously. My favorite way to use banana chips.

OOh I’m excited for your new hair Rose! You look so beautiful in that picture. I love your green top. Your eyes are POPPIN with that.
I grew up with a shar-pei (the wrinkly dog) and he looooooooved banana chips :) My daddy kept some in his pocket just so Milo (our doggie) would follow him around – it was so cute!

Banana chips always remind me of grade school. One of my friends would always bring them in her lunch and share them with everyone. They seemed so cool and different!

I totally look forward to meals. There are many nights I go to bed thinking about breakfast. Some Monday mornings being excited about breakfast is the only thing that gets me out of bed!

Can’t wait to see the new ‘do!

I very much look forward to meals in advance. Sometimes, that’s what carries me through the day–anticipating a particular dish for dinner. :)

Good luck with the new style! I’m sure you’ll look fab no matter what you do.

i have to say I do look forward to certain meals. For some reason I really look forward to my peanut butter pudding with cereal in it at night for dessert. Ultimate comfort food for me!
