Pennsylvania Wedding

10 Aug

Mark and Sheena’s wedding was absolutely beautiful. Tucked in the woods somewhere past Pittsburgh, there was no phone reception or internet access. It was unbelievable being back there, celebrating love and unaware of the time and just being with good friends once again.

My camera died very early on – just after the cutting of the cake – so I don’t the whole night to show. But hopefully when others start posting more pictures on Facebook, I can copy and paste :)

As soon as we got there, we sent up our tent in the yard. The wedding was also a campover.

Kelly’s dog Nike was enjoying the scene.

Before the ceremony, I decided to jump up and snap this picture. I figured I probably wouldn’t be standing here again so why not?

Then Cat, Amy and I meandered into the backyard to check out the view.

Amy and Cat found a dog that looked like a muppet and chased him around for a bit (and if you notice the pool in the back then you know where most of us ended up by the end of the night!)

Before the ceremony, we chilled on a bench and caught up with the boys.

And Kelly looked so pretty with the leaves in her hair!

We took our seats and got ready as did Mark waiting for his bride.

The way they did things was so beautiful. Sheena’s sister lived on the hill above, so all the bridesmaids and Sheena walked down the hill to the aisle. I wish I could have gotten better photos.

Sheena was absolutely beautiful.

And then joined with Mark at the front.

And before you know it, they were hitched!

Soon after, we had a dinner. I picked up a few things to nibble on.

Then we watched as the groomsmen and bridesmaids stumbled through their speeches – all very sweet :)

Then they cut the cake.

And they kissed.

And then my camera died! And so many things happened afterward. But hopefully one of my friends will post  more photos so you can see some more later!

So happy for love and friends and Pennsylvania. Ah, sigh.

I love weddings!!! This one seems especially unique and cool with the tents, hill, etc. It’s so much more fun when couples add their own flair to their special day :) Glad you had a good time, Rose!
