Leftovers = Not Boring
24 Jun
Happy Birthday to Heather and Brandi! How fun that two of my favorite bloggers share a birthday! If you haven’t wished them a happy one, what are you waiting for?
Look, there is just no other way to say this: Sometimes leftovers for lunch are awful. Especially when you’re eating the same thing from the night before, and you still remember what it tasted like the night before. But sometimes those leftovers are worth tasting again, even if they do taste differently. Like last night’s Chicken Wraps and asparagus, for example.
But even if you suspect your leftovers to be good the next day, it’s always good to have a backup treat. Something to look forward. In today’s case, it was this fantastic hommus (with an o, that’s right) I bought from the Co-op the other day.
But that’s not at all! We also picked up a very special bread that day. I saw Hemp Bagels and Bread in the freezer, and after seeing them on Carrots ‘n Cake, I decided to give them a try.
I am a super-duper fan of this bread! Bill hated it, said it wasn’t his thing. I totally get that. I have always been a fan of super natural and nutty breads.
POLL: Assuming you get a ticket, are you heading to the Healthy Living Summit in Boston?

I’ve been looking for hemp bread but haven’t found it, it looks so delicious though!
i LOVE leftovers (when they’re good)
thanks for birthday shout out!
I REALLY wish I could go to the summit, but we just don’t have the money for me to get to Boston + pay for the hotel. I could handle the registration cost
it’s the rest of it.
You bet I’m going! Well, trying to go. I am so psyched.
Leftovers for lunch are my favorite thing! If I liked it the night before, chances are pretty good that I will like it again the next day. Yumm.
rose please come! we can go running and drink vino in the hotel bar!
I totally wanted to go to the summit, but I’m feeling totally broke so I just don’t think I can swing it.
Yes!!! I am so glad the Healthy Living Summit is in Bean Town!!! It’s going to be awesome and I can’t wait to meet everyone. I hope I get a ticket!
I really wanna go and bring my sister, but it’s going to be a couple hundred dollars each so I don’t know if that’s feasible!
YES Boston bound, if I manage to get a ticket!
p.s. that bread looks amazing!
I love breads like that too!
I’d love to go, but it’s during the weekend of my last day of the summer job and it would be bad for me to leave then!
im really hoping i get a ticket because its in my hometown!!!!
cant wait until tomorrow! : )
I guess the question is are you coming to the summit?!?!
maaaaaaaaaay go to the summit– totally not sure. this summer is an expensive one!!.
I totally wish I could go, but sadly I have way too much going on in August to attend
(
What co-op do you go to? I used to shop exclusively at a co-op in Buffalo, but haven’t found a good one in DC/MD
Leftovers like that would rock my world. As would that BREAD. Bread junkie over here loves it all and that one looks particularly wonderful.
I would love to go to the summit but I’m not near the area and I don’t think organizing a way to get there, worry about accommodations etc is practical right now. It’s sad. Now if the summit just wanted to mosey itself right on over to Ontario then I’d be there in a jiffy.
Ooh that bread looks awesome! I love all the grains. I would love to go to the summit but unfortunately I’ll be in class.
