Blogger Double Date @ Granville Moore’s

10 May

Drumroll, please. The unveiling of my dinner out with a special foodie friend and favorite bloggerQuinn from Daily Moderation!

Quinn and I decided to go out a few weeks ago, and this seemed like the perfect weekend for both of us. I was so excited to get together with her again! We arranged a little double date – she brought her husband, and I brought Bill. We decided upon Granville Moore’s on H Street – Quinn’s recommendation – which was a great find for sure! Bobby Flay was there not too long ago (and lost!)

Bill and I got to GM’s early and put our name on the list – the wait was an hour and half! Definitely worth the wait :)

We went over to a bar nearby and grabbed a beer while waiting for our table. It was so cute – Quinn and I got busy chatting about life, work, blogging, food while Bill and her husband chatted about beer, music, etc. It was nice how great the guys got along, and it was good catching up with Quinn again.

We got seated around 9 p.m., and Bill ordered a beer for me. It was really good. I finished the whole thing – which is a feat for me.

GM’s was definitely a beer and mussels kind of place. I’m not really into mussels (just like tasting here and there), so I opted for the veggie burger. Wow – this was one of the best burgers I’ve had in a while. It almost tasted bad for me :)

Check out Bill’s mussels :)

We had such a good time at dinner! We shared a lot of stories – and Quinn and her hubbie gave us advice on weddings and things like that. The hours passed quickly – before we knew it, it was 11 p.m. Such a good, good time.

In addition to good company, GM’s was definitely a great choice. Bill actually noted that he’d like to take his parents there next time they’re in town – so Bill and Carol, if you’re reading – we may be revisiting this restaurant soon!

It’s late and I’m exhausted! Such a fun night! Can’t wait to hang out with Quinn again (when life slows down a bit!)
