Talk about almost sinful. Good thing I have a gym tripped plan for tonight. I swear, starting the day off with chocolate is clearly the best way to get through the day.

  • blueberries, semisweet chips, low-fat graham cracker, pecans, flaxseed…. mumm.

I hope this doesn’t make me as sick as I felt last night!

Yesterday was the strangest of days. There was a power outage at work, so everyone left by 2 p.m. I got home, took a nap, and when I woke up – I was having stomach pains. There was a reading in Baltimore at 7 p.m. but I couldn’t fathom driving in the car like that. So I stayed home and rested.

Sometimes I think my body manifests stress by way of a stomach ache. I was feeling very anxious yesterday, and I wonder if it had anything to do with it.

What does stress do to you? Or is life not really that stressful? (Please, teach us your secret!)

I stress myself out waaaay too easily – it makes me irritable and lose my appetite. Thankfully, the support of my friends & family, yoga, and doing things that I love help to ease the stress.

Stress? when I am overwhelmed, and don’t make sure to relax myself. That feeling of anxiousness is a cue to slow down.

those oats look awesome. I need some graham crackers.

I do get weird stomach stuff when I’m really anxious – I think it definitely shows up in some way!

Amazing oats my dear… and btw, thanks for the sweet comment on my blog last night!! You’re one of my fave bloggers too!!

Stress does weird things to my body… i get killer headaches, weird stomachaches, and I get really really irritable. How do I deal?? Honestly, I tend to eat… which isn’t “right”.

Gorgeous oats! Girl, I hear you on stress. My body totally freaks out. Stomach aches, canker sores, not to mention that my skin has an identity crisis and thinks it’s thirteen again. Boo stress! Hope you get some relaxation soon!

mmm chocolate! This is a little bit of healthy indulgence!

I found the burgers to be somewhat light. If you want to make sure they’re not dense, you could add some additional more traditionally Asian veggies- maybe baby corn or sprouts?

I love chocolate on oatmeal- it gets all melty and delicious. When I’m stressed, my back hurts.

I am not a fun person to be around when I am stressed, let’s just leave it at that!

when i am stressed, i get head aches, then i have to slow it down.. but i struggle with that!!!! its hard when you are so busy to say “STOP! take breather!” one thing i have to work on…

That bowl of oatmeal. Oh. my. goodness. It’s been too long since I put chocolate chips in my oats. Well, if we’re being honest, that’s because I don’t buy them anymore because it’s too tempting to just grab a handful every time I’m in the kitchen ;)

I am very sure that a lot of my stomach pains are caused by stress. But I’m also now leaning toward dairy. Last night, I came home from my night class and had cheese + crackers. I felt a little uneasy going to bed and woke up with a massive stomachache. Coincidence? I think I’m going to try an elimination dairy diet for a week and see how I feel. Sorry to use your post as a rambling board! But I hope that you are feeling better now!

I definitely get horrible stress headaches. The pain is so bad I usually crawl into bed as soon as I can pull the covers over and beg to fall asleep.
That bowl looks amazing though, looks like a great way to start your day!

    Love that oatmeal!
I typically am a fairly laid-back person, but when I do get stressed, I get stressed. I’ve had issues with severe anxiety, but luckily it’s rare. I usually end up calling my mother and acting hysterical for awhile…then I feel better.
