Ninja Smoothie

27 Mar

This ninja has been traveling in my cars for nearly ten years.

Salad 020

You might even say we’re been through a lot: three accidents, ten states and nearly 50,000 miles.

He’s definitely seen his share of smoothies in the car:

So this morning was no different.

Please ignore the mess that is my car. Esther needs cleaned.

Today’s ninja mix included some of my favorites:

Salad 010

  • Skim milk
  • 1/8 cup POM
  • Strawberries
  • Blueberries
  • Banana
  • 1/2 cup oats
  • Dollop of cool whip
  • and PB – not pictured

I feel strange about there being no lobster placemat in this post but at least there’s a ninja. More LPs later on :)

What do you keep in your car?

    Mmmmmmm… I want a smoothie now!

I keep my CD collection in the truck of my car. It’s the only place where I have a CD player now.

I have a owl from bambi figurine and a toy giraffe in my car that have been there since I was in high school — about 8 yrs ago! They too have been through three different vehicles with me!

    Your ninja is awesome!

I have a tibetian good luck charm hanging from my rear view mirror…..it’s a small ivory (don’t think it’s real ivory) fish. So far so good with the good luck….no accidents since I’ve had it (knock on wood).

Found your blog for the first time today and I’m really enjoying your fun spirit here!

I had a question on your smoothie recipe and the fact that you include a “dollop of cool whip.” Do you use it as a sweetener? And do you worry about the hydrogenated fats and high fructose corn syrup in cool whip?

Curious if you’d tried other sweeteners and if they didn’t work for you.

    Thanks!

hahha I love the ninja! I don’t have a car personally, but my brother has this plush toy snake he won at Six Flags once wrapped around the passenger’s seat. I love that thing for some reason!

I try to keep nothing in my car. I like it clean and free of stuff. I do have rain gear in my trunk though, for work.

I love the ninja. My car is a bit cluttered because I never throw out bank slips! The door pocket is a mess!
I’m glad you name your car too, mine is Bugsy!
