Pecan Plum Parfait

24 Feb

I am pretty sure I almost died this morning – and went directly to oatmeal heaven.

Let me explain… or rather, let me back up for a minute, so you can see the richness of this business.

Yes. I totally ate most of that bowl. Yes. I did put too much cool whip on. Yes. I doused the bowl in pecans.

2.24.09 007

…. Yes. It was so freaking good that it almost gave me a belly ache.

Can you remember the richest dish you’ve ever tasted? That question is open and up to interpretation; could be $$ or could be belly-aching full.

Next to this bowl of oatmeal (see above), one of my richest oatmeal experiences was the time I added chocolate ice cream and called it Chocolate Covered Banana Oatmeal. My tummy was in a strange mood that day.

Richest dish… I once had duck at the Four Seasons Hotel in Boston, and it was like biting into a stick of butter.

Wow that looks good, and I love the way you arranged the plum – like a starfish! And I always overdo it on desserts… always!

    Your oats look so good!

The richest meal I’ve ever had was definitely a meal at a fancy French restaurant, which was full of cream and butter! :)

Beautiful…just beautiful Rose. I love whipped cream – I have some every day. Usually I dollop it on some hot chocolate in the afternoons, but I do love it atop a bowl of sweet oats. Glad your belly is warm of full goodness! :)

Some days are just cool-whip kind of days. :D I know I’ve had chocolate desserts at restaurants that I thought were crazy rich (in a good way!).

J’aime beacoup le français dans votre titre :)

Hm, I actually find a lot of desserts too rich, so I don’t think that I could specify. I’m more of a chocolate chip cookie and brownie-kind of girl!

    that looks decadent!
I’m not a dessert person but I’ve had some super rich cheesecake!

Man that oatmeal looks good! I love the addition of the whipped cream on top!

Hmm…one of the RICHEST meals I’ve ever had is this seafood bisque at one of my favorite local restaurants in town. It’s unbelievably good but so hard to eat!
